After graduating from Missouri State University with a BS Degree in Chemistry, Coty devoted his efforts for the next 11years in the field of biomedicine. As a research scientist and project manager, Coty helped in the design and development of new biomedical devices offering solutions to patients with diabetes.
As a project manager and team leader he guided teams to new research and the design of various devices including an implantable glucose sensor. Coty co-authored numerous articles on this topic in key industry publications such as Diabetes Technology and Therapeutics and Analytical Chemistry.
Coty’s leadership as a project leader revealed his passion for helping individuals reach their best potential in their careers and in their relational skills in their personal lives as well. The result was that Coty became a student of human motivation and behavior and eventually became a certified coach and motivational speaker.
Coty realized that it’s not just about having a healthy body that leads to success and happiness, but also having a healthy soul. So since 2007, Coty has been empowering others through coaching and speaking to take on a new perspectives and attitudes that will faciltate success in their personal relationships, as well as their careers.
Coty believes once we learn the secrets to relationships, everything gets a lot easier. Spouses get along better with one another, bosses get along with employees, coworkers have respect for one another, cooperation increases and treating ourselves and others improves. But there are some things we’ve overlooked, things like – how to actively listen, how to communicate so that we are heard, and how to take responsibility without condemning others. Coty truly believes that if we can understand the steps to grow better relationships, we can be better partners, parents, friends, care-givers and leaders.
